Indicator that can reading data from a file

Hi,

I need to create an indicator that reads from a table (Excel spread sheet-or text file). I have data and I would like to plot them as an indicator on the screen. The data do not have a mathmatical model/relation and should be read from a file.

What is the best way to do that? Does someone have such a thing ready and can share?
