Given that the NFA has prohited hedged positions as of May 15th, (Compliance Rule 2-43), what is the procedure for a client with, for example, 4 individual 1-lot long positions, each one in EURUSD, giving an overall 4-lot long position in EURUSD; the client then wants to reduce his long position from 4 lots to just 3 lots; currently I see no way of doing this in MT4 Build 223 without closing all the long positions, and then opening up a long position in the new preferred lot size. MetaTrader 4, with the new server build, implements the NFA prohibition of hedging, but is this MetaTrader's best solution from a practical perspective? Should not the platform allow for a reduction in position size in a more efficient manner? Any comments greatly appreciated.
