I've been trading forex, but I'd like to begin using MT4 to save time. However, I don't know enough about it and want to use EA's. I'm curious if there are a few patterns that are really common. Maybe the most well known patterns that are used by the most traders. Any info on this would be very helpful.

That is basically a huge topic with unlimited possibilities. And requires a lot of research and experimentation. Here though are some common indicators:

http://www.forex.com/forex_technical_indicators.html. You might have better luck on various forex forums which go into great discussion about various indicators and EAs.
