Hi,

I want to use the historical datas from the DE30 (German Dax Index as CFD) from 1970 until now.

1. Does anybody here know a free source for that datas?

2. I have the historical close datas and put it into an csv-File (before I exported one from the metatrader an looks how is it formated and I did the same with me DE30-CSV File)

It looks like:

1970.01.02,00:00:00,629,629,629,629,2
1970.01.05,00:00:00,628,628,628,628,2
1970.01.06,00:00:00,622,622,622,622,2
1970.01.07,00:00:00,623,623,623,623,2
1970.01.08,00:00:00,623,623,623,623,2

But I can't import it into the metatrader. Do you know what is wrong?

It would be wounderful, if you can help me!!!

As per my experience of using historical data,I preferred to use Tick Collector software that you can easily get from http://www.fxdialogue.com/.

Excel file that will collect tick data from your Meta Trader broker. The tick collector will collect and accumulate live spot prices from your metatrader fx
broker. After which you can easily complete your trading functioning by taking the impact of historical data with your real time data.

Additional features of trading can also easily be gettable by downloading their Forex excel feature for making trading strategies.
