Invalid account

Hi ! my name is troubador logging in for the first time. I have opened a practice account (MetaTrader 4)using expert advisors about six weeks ago and up until today everything was very much ok. Tried to login this morning but my screen told me 'INVALID ACCOUNT' so i wondered how this could be as the Meta Trader 4 is supposed to be free. ? Has this happened to any in the forum, and if so could you please enlighten me as to how to rectify it and get back to normal trading.

Maybe i have been a bad boy by not doing something i should have....like moving to live trading a bit sooner.? I would appreciate a little bit of advice.

Troubador,

Happens all the time (every few weeks in my experience).

Go to File > Open an Account. There, you should find all the details you used to open your original account (but if not, fill them in again).

Be sure to click in the box: "I agree to subscribe to your newsletters" then "Next"

You will be presented with an "Open an Account" window (with the servers listed): Click "Next" et voila, you will be presented with a new account.
