Because the price chart expands/contracts to fill the available depth for that time base it is hard to quickly see the scale of price.

It would be very nice to have an indicator on a side bar that shows a range like 1% of the price.

Example: If the GBPUSD is showing 1.6000 a 1% coloured bar would show 0.0160 range.

As an engineer (where visualisation is a great attribute to reality) and an amateur mathematician I can easily visualise what my risk level is in relation to 1% compared to trying to relate pips to the price.

I am new to MT4.

Has anyone ever thought of this?
