Hello,

I have a question regarding the changes to the fractal modeling of ticks that was released with bld 200.

In the release it says:

"Tester: Imrpoved fractal modeling of a bar. Now more smoothed patterns are used to model price movements;"

Can you explain more about this improvement? Does it take place only during the generation of the FXT file, or is there a change in the strategy tester algorithm that reads in the generated ticks?

Thanks,
CS

It is concern of ticks generation only

Hi Slawa,

To further confirm:

If I have a generated FXT file from the tick logger script (updated for the new header info that is in bld 200), metatrader will read that FXT file in order - meaning, it won't do any smoothing of the ticks that come out of the FXT file.

Is that correct?

Thank you again for all of your help!

Cheers,
CS

Yes, it's correct. Real ticks collecting is a bit better than modelling.
