Placing orders with MT3 api

I am developing using the metatrader 3 api
Here's my question:
Say I have 10 1 unit buy positions. Then, say I want to perform 1 10 unit sell order.

Now, I need to enact 10 CloseByOrder(..,..) calls. How long do I need to wait between API calls, to avoid "too frequent requests" error messages? Thanks.

another question - when I place an order using SendOrder and it returns RET_OK, am I guaranteed that the order will eventually be placed with the specified price? If so, why does the order take some time before it appears on the trades list? Thanks.
