Hi guys

1 Where can I find expert advisors that realy work?
2 What is a good success rate for an expert advisor?
3 I found one for MT3 that returns the following over a period of 2yrs 5months:

Initial deposit 500.00 Spread 5 points Model "spread/2 points"
Total net profit 13287.00
Gross profit 20569.00 Gross loss 7282.00

Total trades 29
Winning trades 21 Losing trades 8
Largest winning trade 6120.00 Largest losing trade 2040.00

Max consecutive winners 5 (5101.00) Max consecutive losers 2 (2670.00)
Avg consecutive winners 3 Avg consecutive losers 1
Max consecutive profit 9870.00 (4) Max consecutive loss 2670.00 (2)

Absolute drawdown 0.00 Max drawdown 2670.00 (30.9%)

4 Will somebody be able to recode this for me for MT4?

I realy like MT4 but the programming is a bit much for me. MT3 is not so nice but the programming is a breeze! Any help will be apreciated! vanman@absamail.co.za

Do anybody actually use expert advisors with any success? The only mention of theses things I can find is "The Grid" and, to be honest, I tried it and does not seem to work that well.

The grid expert advisor is not supposed to be a winning advisor as such but a tool to help explore grids. key to grid-trading success is to have lots of money (most of u dont) or to limit risk.

I am looking at ways to do the latter!

On what priciple does a grid work? With the MT4 strategy tester now working, have you backtested it, and if you did, what is the success rate?

I know the only real test is to actually use it, but it should give a good indication!
